LPC MISSIONS
Hope Clinic
The Hope Clinic provides medical assistance to the uninsured as well as the underinsured in Gwinnett County. Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church has been providing funding to The Hope Clinic for the past several years. We are currently in the third year of a financial commitment of $20,000.
Family Promise of Gwinnett
Family Promise of Gwinnett County brings existing local resources together to assist homeless families with children to regain their housing and independence. Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church has been a host congregation for Family Promise families for many years. We have provided a home for these families 3 to 4 times in a calendar year. Families were provided with housing and meals while staying at the church. With the opening of Promise Haven, Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church looks forward to providing meals and spending time with the families while they are housed in their new home. Sharing hospitality to these families is important to the church.
Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry
The Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry has been serving the residents of the Lawrenceville and Dacula communities since 1995. They assist by providing food, personal care items and connections to other helping resources. Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church was one of the founding churches of the Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry. We provide financial support as well as donating pantry items. Items may be placed in our Mission House and they are taken to the Co-Op weekly.
Air Guatemala
AIR or Alliance for International Reforestation’s mission is to implement educational programs, reforestation, and regenerative farming methods in Central America in order to protect water sources, build soil health, prevent mudslides and erosion, prevent lung disease and provide more nutritious crops. Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church has supported AIR Guatemala through funding by sending financial resources to assist with the planting of trees and building of stoves. We have also sponsored individuals to go to Guatemala and assist with the planting of the trees and building of the stoves.
