Ryan Jensen: Pastor
Ryan is from Shelbyville, Tennessee and a graduate of The University of Memphis (BBA) and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary (MDiv). A lifelong Presbyterian, he was ordained into ministry in 2009 at Government Street Presbyterian Church in Mobile, Alabama and has also served churches in Shelbyville and Franklin, Tennessee. Ryan is married to Laura Massey Jensen has two children: Camille (8) and Knox (6). Ryan loves spending time with his family and is an occasional runner, swimmer, canoe guide, connoisseur of fine ales, and a member of the Rotary Club of Gwinnett. He enjoys spending time perfecting the art of smoked pork ribs, and is forever hopeful for a Memphis Tiger victory. Pastor Ryan arrived to LPC in 2012 and is passionate about worship, mission, ministry with people of all ages, and dreaming about the future of Christ’s church. He strongly believes in critical thought, an intentionally inclusive church, the connectivity of the larger church, and remaining vigilant in following and serving Jesus wherever the Spirit leads. He welcomes the opportunity to visit with members old and new, as well as those who are interested in learning more about the Christian faith and how it is lived out at LPC.
Hunter McGee: Music Director
Hunter McGee is the Director of Music at Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church. He also serves as Associate Director of Bands at Riverwatch Middle School, Percussion Coordinator for the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony, and Director of the Lawrenceville Community Orchestra. During his time at Riverwatch, the band program was the recipient of the 2019 GMEA Exemplary Performance Award and was invited to perform at the Reinhardt Middle School Honor Band Clinic.
McGee is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he was a percussion student of Timothy K. Adams and Kimberly Toscano Adams. Prior to UGA, he studied piano with Dorothy “Dottie” Kuhn. While completing his Bachelors of Music Education, he performed with the UGA Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Percussion Ensemble. Prior to his appointment at Riverwatch, McGee served as Director of Bands at Dacula Middle School (2017-2018) and as Director of Percussion at Lakeside High School (Atlanta) from 2014-2017. Hunter arranges and composes for various organizations in the Metro-Atlanta area, including many aforementioned. Professional affiliations include NAfME, GMEA, NBA, and PAGE.
Annette Houtz: Office Administrator
Annette Houtz is the Office Manager at Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church and has served in this capacity for the past 14 years. Previously she was employed at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Lilburn for 7 years. A native of the Pennsylvania Dutch country she and her husband have lived in the Lawrenceville area for over 30 years.
Annette Houtz is active in the Administrative Personnel Association (APA) of the Presbyterian Church (USA) since 2002 and is currently serving at the National Membership chair for APA. She has attained APA Certification in Levels I, II and III and is currently working towards a Certificate in Polity and a Certificate in Finance.
Annette and her husband are members of the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville where she serves on the Staff Parish Relations Committee and on the Discipleship Team. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
